The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band –
Part One
Tri-Color “Steamboat” Label Reprise Pressing
A classic piece of late-60s psychedelic rock, Part One is widely considered one of the strongest albums by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. Released in 1967 on Reprise Records, the album blends folk rock, experimental pop, garage rock, and psychedelic textures that perfectly capture the strange creativity of the Summer of Love era.
The band—built around the songwriting of Michael Lloyd and the Harris brothers—created music that could move from beautiful acoustic passages to eerie experimental moments within the same track, giving the record its distinctive psychedelic atmosphere.
This copy features the original Reprise tri-color “steamboat” label, one of the more desirable early pressings for collectors of 1960s psychedelic rock.

Why This Record Matters
The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band were one of the more mysterious and inventive psychedelic groups to emerge from Los Angeles in the mid-1960s, blending folk melodies with avant-garde experimentation and surreal spoken-word passages.
For collectors of classic West Coast psychedelia, Part One remains one of the most essential records from the era.
