Dean Hillsboro 5 Single 5-String Bass – Classic Black

Here’s a lot of bass for not a ton of money.

This is a Dean Hillsboro 5 Single, finished in Classic Black with a pearloid-style pickguard, maple neck, maple fingerboard, and a single humbucker pickup. It has that offset body shape that gives it a little more personality than your average entry-level 5-string, but it still keeps things simple and useful where it counts.

This would be a great bass for someone looking to get into 5-string without spending crazy money, or for a guitar player who wants a bass around the house that can actually cover some ground. It has a comfortable bolt-on maple neck, 34” scale length, chrome hardware, and a single humbucker with active EQ, so you can get a pretty wide range of usable tones out of it. Big low end, good punch, and enough clarity to keep the low B from turning into total mud.

Condition is very good overall. There are some light signs of normal use, but nothing that takes away from the look or playability. It plays well, feels good, and is ready to go.

Not a fancy boutique bass. Just a cool, solid, good-looking 5-string that does the job and looks way better than most basses in this price range.
