Original 1968 Beatles “White Album” Poster Insert – Apple Records

This is an original 1968 Beatles White Album poster insert produced by Apple Records and included inside early pressings of the legendary double album The Beatles, commonly known as The White Album.

Unlike most surviving examples, this poster is an uncirculated warehouse example. It was folded as issued by the manufacturer but was never inserted into an album jacket and never distributed to the public through record stores.

Because of this, the poster remains in exceptionally clean and well-preserved condition compared to most examples that were handled, unfolded, and displayed by record buyers over the decades.

An Iconic Piece of Beatles History

Released in November 1968, The Beatles — commonly known as The White Album — became one of the most influential albums in popular music history. Each album originally included a large fold-out poster featuring a collage of photographs and imagery reflecting the experimental spirit of the recording sessions.

For many fans, this poster became one of the most recognizable visual artifacts associated with the album.

Because most posters were unfolded, pinned to walls, or otherwise handled over the past five decades, truly clean surviving examples have become increasingly difficult to find.

Uncirculated Warehouse Archive Example

This poster comes from a preserved group of posters that were stored folded and ready for album insertion but were never actually placed inside record jackets.

These posters were originally acquired from the archive of Jack Kunkle, a former Capitol and Apple Records warehouse employee who saved promotional materials and related record industry items during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Many items from this archive remained in storage for more than fifty years before resurfacing in Maine.

A printed copy of the newspaper article documenting the discovery of the collection will be included with the poster.
