1969 Beatles “Abbey Road” Die-Cut Standee Sheet – Apple Records Store Display
This is an original 1969 Beatles promotional die-cut standee sheet produced to create retail display stands promoting the release of Abbey Road.
These sheets were distributed to record stores and were intended to be punched out and assembled into freestanding promotional displays used to advertise the album in shop windows and retail counters.
Because these displays were designed for temporary promotional use, most examples were discarded after the campaign ended. Surviving components from these displays have become increasingly scarce over the decades.
Original Retail Display Component
This piece represents the original die-cut sheet used to create the Beatles standee figures. The Beatles figures have already been punched out as originally intended, leaving the remaining display sheet.
Unlike assembled displays that were often damaged during store use, surviving components like this provide a fascinating glimpse into how these promotional displays were originally manufactured and distributed.
Abbey Road Promotional Campaign
Released in September 1969, Abbey Road quickly became one of the most celebrated albums in music history. Record stores across the United States received posters, display materials, and standees to promote the album during its initial release.
Promotional materials from this campaign are now among the most collectible artifacts from the Beatles era.
Condition
Very good vintage condition.
- Original die-cut promotional sheet
- Beatles figures have been punched out
- Small hole present from original hanging/display use
- Light age-related wear consistent with vintage retail material
Despite the punched-out figures, the sheet remains a fascinating surviving component from an original Beatles retail display.
