This is one of those.
2001 Gibson SG Standard in classic cherry, and it’s been thoughtfully upgraded in all the right ways while still keeping everything that matters original and intact.
At its core, this is the SG everyone knows and loves—lightweight, resonant, fast neck, and that unmistakable Gibson feel. But where this one really separates itself is in the tone and playability.
The pickups have been upgraded to a set of Fralins:
- Fralin Sunbucker in the neck
- Fralin humbucker in the bridge
If you’ve played Fralins before, you already know—they’re clear, dynamic, and just feel more alive than your typical stock setup.
It also features a Maestro vibrola setup paired with a roller bridge upgrade, which makes a big difference in tuning stability and smoothness compared to stock. You get the vintage look, but it actually works the way you want it to.
And here’s the part I love…
It includes all of the original components:
- Original Gibson pickups
- Original bridge
- Vibrola arm
- Gibson hard case
So if you ever wanted to bring it back to stock, you absolutely can.
Condition-wise, it’s in excellent shape. Clean, well cared for, and plays exactly how a good SG should.
