Diagnosis, repair and restoration

A noisy channel, an intermittent fault, a receiver stuck in protection or a turntable that won’t behave—start by telling us what happens. We work through the fault and discuss the repair your equipment needs.

Depending on the unit, work can include repairing power supplies and amplifier circuits, replacing failed or aging components, addressing troublesome controls, and making adjustments and testing after repair.

Rates, turnaround and warranty

  • Vintage receiver diagnosis: $90 for the first diagnostic hour.
  • Further audio repair work: generally $75–$100 per hour plus parts, depending on complexity.
  • Typical turnaround: 2–4 weeks, depending on the work and parts availability.
  • Repair warranty: 90 days, excluding misuse.

Drop-off is by appointment. For amplifier or turntable diagnostic pricing, contact us to discuss the equipment and work needed. Please contact us before shipping any equipment.

Start with the equipment and the symptoms

Tell us the brand and model, what it’s doing—or not doing—and any known repair history. Photos of the unit and model label help us understand what you have. We’ll discuss the job before arranging a drop-off appointment.

Can you estimate from a photo?

Photos help identify equipment and visible damage. Internal faults may need inspection before a useful estimate is possible.

Can I mail equipment to you?
